What we collect

We collect information you provide directly — name, email, mailing address, and payment details when you donate, apply for a grant, or contact us. We also collect standard technical data (IP address, device/browser type, pages visited) via server logs and privacy-respecting analytics.

How we use it

• Process your donation and issue a tax receipt.
• Review grant applications and notify you of decisions.
• Send updates you opt into — impact reports, campaign news, giving history.
• Comply with legal and financial reporting obligations (501(c)(3) requirements, payment processor rules).
• Improve the site and our programs.

Payment data

Card and bank details are processed by Stripe. GiveSendGo Charities does not store full card numbers on our servers. Stripe is a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified processor.

Who we share it with

We share your data only with:

• Service providers acting on our behalf (payment processor, email delivery, cloud hosting) under data-protection agreements.
• Auditors, accountants, and regulators when required by law.
• Grant recipients, if you direct a gift to a specific organization and indicate we may share contact info with them.

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from email at any time via the link in our messages.
• Request a copy, correction, or deletion of your personal data by emailing info@givesendgo.org.
• Decline non-essential cookies — essential cookies are required for core functionality (login, donations).

Security

We use TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, and access controls that limit who can view donor data. No system is perfectly secure; if we discover a breach that affects you, we will notify you promptly.

Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
